CHOOSING A SADDLE
When choosing a saddle you first need to fit yourself then fit your horse.
Your saddle size is determined by your height, weight and personal preference.
FITTING THE SADDLE
How to fit the saddle to the horse varies on the saddle type.
Fender saddle fitting starts with the angle of the tree bars to your horse and then using the correct saddle pad thickness.
Our Jumping and Dressage saddles have gentec adjustable gullets and can also have the flock customised to suit.
The Hawkesbury River Saddle Company stocks the most versatile range of hand crafted saddles and saddle trees in Australia: from dressage, eventing and show jumping saddles to fender, stock and campdrafting saddles. Our saddles are designed by Australian Master Saddler and Horseman, Heath Harris. Heath put his knowledge from 40 years as a horseman into the design of each saddle to ensure fit and balance. Our range has a focus on comfort and performance for you and your horse plus durability, and quality leather and hardware.
We are the designer, the manufacturer and the seller that’s why you get saddles designed specifically for Australian conditions and fabulous workmanship at reasonable prices.

Failure to check the locking mechanism may result in loosening of the gullet. If the mechanism or the tree are compromised from lack of maintenance the warranty of the tree will be null and void.
